Finished Draw-off Piece

Here is the finished entry. You can see that I used the layout for comp #1 but added a few of elements that I liked from comp #3. I'm sort of blah about the piece but I sure did learn a lot. Posted by Picasa

I entered a Draw-off again for Digital Webbing's Forums. This time the draw off was for Angeline 43. I did four small thumbs in ink so I could start building some inking skills. I also inked the finished piece. I definately need some more practice, but it felt good to do it. Overall I'm not to happy with the finished image but I learned a ton and I expect that each comic peice will get better and better as I do more.

Carving Pumkins

Well it's almost November and I still haven't gotten this thing quite figured out yet, but I'm trying. I spent the most of this month doing some long overdue chores and playing with the kids. Tonight we carved pumkins. It was fun. The kids were afraid to put thier hands into the pumkins and take out the guts so dad had to show them how it was done. Of coarse I also waved the pumkin muck in thier face which got quite a rise out of them. Next year they'll be doing the same thing I did to them to Tasey and I'll be yelling at them to stop. Where do they learn such behavior?

As for my art goes I'm still trying to figure out what I can post and what I can't. I'll start posting all my old stuff because I figure that will be safe. Plus I'll try to get some exclusive stuff up also, thing I do for draw-offs and such so stay tuned..

It begins...

Blog... Sounds like something my dog threw up. However, regardless the stupid sounding name and the risk of looking like anther trend fallowing moron, the appeal of a personal website where I can post whatever without knowing anything about html in undeniable. So thus it begins...
